Separated At Birth

It finally hit me who rock star (not sure if he is a rock star, just looks like one) designer Daniel on Project Runway looks like .... soon-to-be-over-exposed SNLer Andy Samberg!

And now an open letter to soon-to-be-over-exposed SNLer Andy Samberg: Andy, that rap video was the bomb. It really was. But beware. Remember how funny we thought Debbie Downer was? 'Member?! Well, it's not funny anymore because your bosses allowed the sketch to be played OVER and OVER. Here's what you do. Wait until NEXT season. And then just when we think SNL is stupid again, do a sequel of Lazy Sunday... and we'll continue to crush like crazy over you. MMmm-kay? Jimmy Fallon on line 2...

Couple of the Year

This ad, running in the front section of the New York Times, has really captured my imagination. I'll leave it to all of you to come up with the love story in the comments section. Awaiting the romantic magic... Click photo to enlarge, if you will...

Meet 'Dancing A Train Man'

I've enjoyed Dancing A Train Man quite a few times and finally have a video to prove it. He's no longer just legend. You must wait for the running man.

WaHi Loves Its Woofs

Has anyone else in Hudson Heights seen the couple who walk their handicapped dog on the fancy stretcher? I swear, everytime I see it I well up. They park him in the little park on 187th and dozens of people stop by to say hello. I think this will be my holiday card.

Gross-ery Store?

Check out the 30-second PETA ad that networks wouldn't run. The ad was said to be too "graphic." Being the stupid-ass that I am I, you know, clicked. Well, graphic? You be the judge...

The Coop is out of control.

The 360 is now complete.

I'm a person. Like you. Only not.

Okay, I'm as excited as the next gay about Brokeback Mountain. Yada yada yada. Can't wait. More yada. But Brooklynfrog pointed out this Heath Ledger quote from the new EW cover story that kind of sticks out like, well, you know.

''Any kind of nerves I had about approaching that scene, I didn't have to hide. We were like, 'F--- it, we took on this story and there's no point in shying away from it.' Neither of us wanted to do it again any time soon. But in the end, it was just like kissing a person.''

Well, thank you, Heath. Good to know we're people.

Snow Alert 2005 on Fox 5

Fox was ON IT last night. They had a ticker that updated with school closings every two minutes (which they told us about every two minutes), they had team coverage in all areas of the tri-state, covering the approaching disaster with their usual Fox flare; shots of snow plows from last year, shots of piles of salt, shots of wet roads and interviews with people buying shovels at Home Depot. My favorite though, was hunky, brow-y Jim Castillo, condemned to the streets of Chelsea. With next-to-no snow falling, Jim had the crew shoot his flashy black shoes, scuffling on the pavement, warning that it was "freezing up." Emmy, people. Emmy.

Below, the tragedy as it was before us when we woke.

Today's Time Suck: Rent in Concert

I'm totally digging AOL Music's "Rent" Sessions with some of the cast. Best part? They don't have those annoying microphones that stopped me from liking the stage show. Haven't seen the movie yet, but after hearing Jesse Martin wail, I might consider it...

Happy Holidays from Virgin

Well, Virgin is at it again! Actually -- I'm not sure if they were at it before, but being that they are British, they get to do things a little dodgier. Spotted their latest Virgin Mobile commercial last night, and here's the play-by-play.

Okay, so it looks like we have an Old Navy thing going on here. Oh, look -- there are minorities manning the phones. It's a multi-denominational telethon, hence the very old Christmafestivahannukah reference....

Oh, how cute. It's an old cowboy Buddhist guy. CUTE! CUTE!

Oh, my. Hindu Santa guy. Oh, funny Indian accent. I like the way he says "tickle" -- cute. It's like Apu from The Simpsons, kind of.

Oh, no they didn't. Okay, creepy. Oh, this is creepy. That's a really gay elf. Like creepy in a '70s Uncle Pete at the family trip to the zoo creepy. I'm really not identifying with this gay elf. Should I? I mean, my community gets so little representation on TV. Should I identify with the elf more than boring Will on Will & Grace? Oh, Hermie didn't become a dentist, he moved to San Fran and opened a salon! Oh, my soul hurts.

Mommy. Mommy. Hold me.

And yes, I think the ads are funny and I can take a joke.

Urine Town

Not sure what was up last night in the universe, but I was seeing the strangest commercials. First up -- Urine Gone! Odd, no? Reminds me of a cat litter system they used to advertise in Canada -- called "Catch It" -- get it? Catshhhhit...

I see hot people.

As Gawker has been reporting, the MPA's "Covers of the Future" are, well, boring. This one caught my eye though. And I thought Haley Joel Osment was gonna grow up all weird and stuff...

Dr. Noah Drake, I presume...

Ladies and gentlemen -- Dr. Noah Drake is back. Rick Springfield, the source of one very uncomfortable crush for many of us, is back with -- oh get this -- covers of some '80s hits. Including "Life in a Northern Town." I can die -- now. Seriously.

Have y'all seen the dog in Japan made over to look like a panda? This is some animal abuse I could totally get into. Cute!
